The Condition

The NekroVerse is not defined by singular events. It is defined by persistence: altered environments that remain altered, and the slow replacement of “normal” with what can be tolerated.

Operational Definition

Working model

“The Condition” refers to a suite of persistent environmental and biological deviations that appear to self-reinforce over time. Causality remains disputed. Consistency of observation is higher than consistency of explanation.

  • Long duration (weeks → years)
  • Local escalation without obvious triggers
  • Human adaptation through routine and reinterpretation

Environmental Symptoms

Common signs

Recurring symptoms reported across multiple climates and geologies:

  • Water bodies shifting toward crimson or gold tones
  • Gelatinous surface bubbles (“Blod Bubbla”)
  • Soil exudate events (“Bleeding Earth”)
  • Vegetation appearing “drunk” (large-scale lean, slow recovery)
  • Peat bogs that crunch underfoot despite saturation
  • Frozen “dripping” mushrooms with icicle-like growths
Interpretation hazard
These symptoms are frequently mistaken for industrial contamination, seasonal anomalies, or isolated hoaxes until persistence becomes undeniable.

Exposure

Unclear risk

Spore-like events are commonly confused with localized snowfall or light blizzards. Inhalation exposure has been reported without consistent short-term symptoms.

Absence of symptoms is not evidence of safety.

Progression

Nonlinear

Progression does not obey a single ladder. Some zones remain low-grade for extended periods; others accelerate rapidly after minor disturbance.
